Trip Around the Sun is a free birthday and anniversary reminder app. Your privacy matters to us, and we designed the app so that your data stays under your control.

Trip Around the Sun does not collect, store, or transmit personal data to any servers.

• We do not operate a backend server.
• We do not collect names, dates, notes, or event information outside your device.
• We do not sell, rent, or share personal data.

All information you add to the app remains on your device unless you choose to use iCloud syncing.

2. iCloud Sync

If iCloud is enabled on your device, Trip Around the Sun can sync your events using Apple’s iCloud services.

• Data is stored in your private iCloud container.
• Apple encrypts and manages this data.
• We do not have access to your iCloud data.
• iCloud syncing is optional, and the app works without it.

3. Offline Use

Trip Around the Sun works fully offline.

You can add, edit, and view events without an internet connection.

4. Contacts Import

You may choose to import birthdays from your device’s Contacts.

• Contacts access is read-only.
• Only contacts with birthdays are imported.
• Contact data is stored locally on your device.
• Contacts are never uploaded or shared.

5. Facebook Screenshot Import

The app allows importing birthdays from a screenshot of Facebook’s birthday list.

• You manually select the screenshot.
• All processing happens on-device using local intelligence.
• Screenshots never leave your device.
• Screenshots are not uploaded, stored, or shared.

6. Analytics, Tracking, and Advertising

Trip Around the Sun does not use:

• Analytics tools
• Crash reporting services
• Advertising networks
• Tracking technologies
• Advertising identifiers (including IDFA)

We do not track your activity in the app.

7. Accounts and Identity

• The app does not require an account.
• There are no logins, usernames, or passwords.
• No personal identifiers are created or stored.

8. Children’s Privacy

Trip Around the Sun is suitable for users of all ages.

• The app does not knowingly collect personal data from children.
• No data is transmitted to external servers.

9. Changes to This Policy

If the app’s data practices change, this Privacy Policy will be updated accordingly. Any changes will apply only going forward.
